Dinner and a Movie

If there is one thing Mishka is picky about, it's movies. He's actually picky about a lot of things come to think about it... but I will watch just about anything so differences about what movie to watch is something we come across often.

However, there is one genre we're both always in the mood for and that is ACTION!!!

So, we sometimes go into "action movie marathons" and tonight was such a night. We ordered a pizza and worked our way through a few action flicks we've been wanting to see for awhile. Some were worth the wait, others were not. The high-lights of the evening were Machete and Kick-ass. Both violent with an underlying dark humor- just the way Mishka and I like our action flicks!

What I like most about nights like tonight is that Mishka and I get to have some of those quiet in-love moments. We sit side-by-side, watching the movies, and playing on our separate computers. To some it would appear that we're both lost in our own little worlds, completely uninvolved in each other. But they just don't know us very well.

I think being able to be comfortable and silent and still happy in a relationship is just as important as being able to talk to each other. You can't expect to entertain each other every minute of every day you're together for the rest of your lives together. That would be exhausting. Sometimes it's necessary to be able to enjoy each other without having to be constantly interacting, talking, or trying to entertain. I've always heard comfortable silence is the mark of true friendship, I think it's also a mark of true companionship :).
